Deborah Jaffé

Deborah Jaffé is a cultural historian with a special interest in design, technology and memory studies. She is the author of eight books including: Victoria – a celebration; Ingenious Women; and the History of Toys; co-editor of Memories of the Future with Stephen Wilson and edits Newcomen Links on the history of engineering. Currently, she is focused on the importance of preserving memories, which she is exploring in ceramic forms, painting and research on souvenirs and a collection of refugee related material. Deborah studied at Dartington College of Arts, The London College of Furniture and the Royal College of Art. She was a member of the V&A Museum of Childhood Committee and the Committee of the Centre for Cultural Memory, SAS, University of London.
